I'm going to try ..but it must be corrected because it's only a start in broken English!

1)The culture is different. The North American are much more open and sociable than the French. Since they meet you, they give you a hug!The French are more reserved. And... it's not easy to say, ... The French do things thoroughly.
At first sight they seem quite superficial to us.
It is not so easy to have a real contact, a real profound discussion with them.
The French go straight to the point faster.
But there is no big difference. We both belong to western countries, so we share the same culture.
And your culture is very much appreciated by the French.

a]I know it's not the point here, but I have to say that her speech seems paradoxical to me.
b] « North » American→America is not only U.S.A, but it's terrible, I 'm not able to find the right word. Canada,... is also part of North America. I give up.

2)Freedom, the feeling to be allowed to do what you want, to be who you really are.
Even if there are differences according to areas/places and people, I guess.
But for example, in France, if you go up into? the subway wearing orange hair, leather boots and collar nails, people will stare at you in astonishment: « look at that! »
In the U.S.A. there isn't judgement on appearance, I find it very nice/comfortable/fine
