Why Montreal?
I have lived there for 5 months (in fact, I have emigrated) but because all people told me how cold is in winter, I was afraid of coldness and have returned back to Europe.
1. Montreal is bilingual:
You have to speak English and French for normal job, otherwise you can only clean the streets.
2. Montreal has very nice and charming people. And very friendly!
3. Montreal has something from Europe, but it is in North America.
4. Montreal has very good food: some mixture between French and American food. It was very strange, I was eating all day and was very slender (I am still, but don't eat that much as there).
About Paris: I like Paris as well, but there are lately some things, I don't like. Beside that is more north and cold again. For me is better to live in Cannes (I like old cities and seaside).
Sorry, I am a bit complicated. All that to have (what I wrote first time) on one place is not possible.
