with this concept, if you are a christian, you can BELIEVE that God will judje at the end of time and you will get paradise or hell or anywhere else between both of those "places"
if you are a hindu, you can BELIEVE that your next reincarnation will be better or worse than the one you live
if you don't BELIEVE in any god, the concept remain the same ( a sum of actions) but nothing can result of your karma for your next life as there will be no next after the death but dust
