I hated Latin, but just because I don't like to fail and this language made me feel with my back against the wall and about being stabbed by failure.

This is the only dead language I have studied, thank to this knowledge now it's easier for me to understand how to use declensions in other languages.

I'm not sure, because I have never been in Germanic or Russian lessons, but this languages use declensions too...

Sometimes I like to know where words come from(I use to study it at school, in Spanish), some of them come from Greek, some others from Latin even from Arab...

Etruscan and Sumerian... I just know this cultures by their art. May be it's because I'm Spanish that I know more about Latin that I do with other dead languages... but I think each of this languages are important in other modern languages evolution.
