how can we judge what is good or bad. so often something that we feel is morally right is illegal or against our religion
i think the only way to judge what is good, and what is bad is based on what you believe in.
we are all born with our natural instincts to survive, and for the most part of our lifes this is what governs our conscience. For example someone put in a situation to kill someone/something in order to save themselves most certainly would. However, when we start to believe in a religion so deeply this can overtake our natural instincts and a religious man put in the same situation would die.
I think there is a little evil in all of us - how could anyone justify ripping a head of an innocent bird, but this mustnt be mistaken as our instincts.

I would also like to point out that a single act can not always be defined as simply good or bad, there are many shades of grey...
