«The collected data concerning the heads’ angles allowed to establish a relation between the liberation of the base of the cranium and C1-C2 of its compactions and the normalizing of the head’s position in a sagittal plane. Therefore the statistic results confirm our hypothesis. Those who participated in the experimental group demonstrated a significant effect (P < 0,05) compared to the results obtained with the control group’s student test between the pre-test and re-test (A-C). Both groups however showed no changes between pre-testing and post-testing (A-B). This is interesting and goes to show that the effect of the osteopathic treatment, decompaction in this case, reaches its highest point of efficiency in the medium term compared to the control group. In the elaboration of our report, we have wanted to go deeper in our research of the osseous structure because of the orientation of our subject and the lack of literature on intraosseous and interosseous compactions. The literary review of the head’s position in a sagittal plane awakened our interest in a better comprehension of the ideal posture and oriented our evaluation standards. The embryological and anatomical relations have also been described for a better understanding of our experimental motives.»
