Hi,
Today there is a general strike to demonstrate against retirement pension scheme. The French National Railway Company (SNCF), the gas and electricity board, the underground lines. Only one automated line runs normally. The road traffic is strongly disrupted, some people have chosen to bike. Others had anticipated and taken a day off to not find themselves caught in traffic jams.
Then we officially learnt that the presidential couple are going to divorce. Certain journalists are speaking of a 'black' October for Nicolas Sarkozy. This is the French news.
As for my personal news, it's more the daily routine and I am making the most of the nice weather. Number of my colleagues at the university are on a sympathy strike.
Today I had another 'drip' so my agenda was quite full. The 'drip' lasts one day time so I am back home exhausted.
Love,
Marie
