Wooh! everybody is tense.
I think as others the two(or more!) persons must be consentings, and should have the same feelings about sexual relations. Catholics don't make love as libertines do. Everyone has his sexuality. There are diferent sexualities.
BUT, I don't think that sex is not only a matter of physical shakes. There is obligatory comunication: verbal or look or touch. Even touch is comunication in sexuality. And if there is comunication, there is exchange between to mind and so emotions, feelings take a place. Two person/mind/personality meet together. What is the interest of having sexual relations if you can do masturbation! Guys, you are not honest with yourself!
However I think amake love is not just expresion of a love feeling, because duing the act we meet a deep aspect of our personality/mind and of our spouse, we aren't the curent us. It's a bit animal, the smell, the sweat, the tast of the spouse skin, all the corps liquids.
I don't think that 2 men or 2 women want to make love together is an unatural think. Heart has desirs that reason doesn't understand. It could also be biological, whatever.
Finally, I think normal and good sexual relation should be a symphony, with two instruments, and it must sound well whatever our register is.
