This a short text at Present simple, you can check or give me synonyms of verbs...J'ai souligné les expressions de temps qui appellent le présent simple.

'I wake up early at 6 AM every morning (répétitif: always et every dans la même phrase, n'en prendre que un des deux). I have my breakfast and take a shower.
I usually catch the train at 7 AM (prendre le train= to catch? On peut aussi dire "take", mais catch est bon).
After catching the train, I always buy a newspaper.
The train staff knows me, he always grins at me. (to grin at =sourire, he smiles to me? oui!).
I sit down in the train and begin my readings (reading= une ledture), tu pourrais aussi dire "and I begin reading" (je commence à lire).
I never read horoscopes (comment dire les prévisions astrologiques de la journée), but I have sometimes (I sometimes have) have a look at the weather forecast, because we talk about it on occasions with my colleagues (je ne sais pas dire 'au bureau')tu pourrais dire "at work".
My favorite article is the art criticism, the journalist often describes a book, a play (pièce de théatre) or a movie.

J'ai peu de vocabulaire, je ne sais pas dire 'en parler', 'en discuter'. 'Je lis', 'je parcoure le journal'...etc...

Pourriez-vous me dire si l'emploi du présent simple est bon? et pourriez-vous rédiger ce texte en m'apportant des synonymes, en faire un texte plus limpide. J'en apprendrai beaucoup. MERCI BEAUCOUP. Marie.
