Mesothelioma (pronounced mee-so-thee-lee-oma) is a disease in which cells of the mesothelium become abnormal and divide without control or order. So It is a type of cancer. Mesolthelioma is caused by exposure to asbestos.(Asbestos is made up of tiny fibers, often used to make insulation in homes, schools and other buildings.) It can invade and damage nearby tissues and organs. Cancer cells can also metastasize (spread) from their original site to other parts of the body.
Mesothelioma are uncommon cancers, although Mesolthelioma are becoming more frequent.
There is an estimated minimum of 2,500 individuals per year that are diagnosed with Mesolthelioma deadly cancer.
