Hello,
So I'll drive my neighbour to Saint-Wandrille. It's a small town about one hour's drive from Le Havre, two and a half-hours from Paris. Its most outstanding monument is an abbey founded in 649, a well-known monastery favourable to meditation. My neighbour isn't going there to pray but to buy local products such as jam, honey, fruit from the Seine valley and other organic food the monks have elaborated. She'll go for a wonderful ramble, besides I'll go with her. The half-timbered houses over there are typical of Normandy. They are splendid.
As for Camille, she's getting ready for the oral examination in June. She isn't the Camille I was talking about but a student whose thesis I'm following. I'll be a member of the jury in June with other colleagues. She's done a great job, mine consists in directing her. The thesis has been read, reread and proofread, sent to the members of the jury. She'll be asked questions. The exam isn't easy but I'm convinced she'll succeed.
That's all. Love,
Marie
