OK, this should be my proper introduction. My first post here was a shameless advertisement for a website, which was probably a bad idea for a first post. Anyway, here we go...
Hello
Buenos días
Bonjour
Bom día
Salve
Guten Tag
Jó napót kivánok
Здравствуйтe

That should cover most everyone. I know those languages reasonably well, the better ones being at the top of the list. I'm not really very good at Russian, though.

Right now, I'm 23 and I live with my parents in Allen, Texas, which is an affluent suburb of Dallas. This whole language thing started as a side hobby while I was at the University of North Texas earning a Computer Science degree which turned out to be mostly useless.

In a few months I'll be joining the Air Force as (what else?) a linguist. I scored a phenomenal 149 on the Defense Language Aptitude Battery, so after basic training I'll be spending about 2 years in Monterey, California studying something really difficult like Arabic, Farsi, Mandarin, or Korean.

And that Computer Science degree wasn't totally useless: thanks to some things I learned there I was able to create a guestbook for that aforementioned website.
