The night of Brahma, the Creator as you rightly said is equal to the day in duration. And this is the 'Avyakta' (the unmanifested aspect of Brahma) when the creation dissolves back into the Avyakta.
Akshara - the indissoluble is the one who does not come to destruction on the dissolution of all beings. Check the Bhagwat Gits Chapter 8, verses 17 to 21.
