In my lycee, we have to choose an "extra-subject", an "option", that we must study and then take it at our A-levels. You can choose music, italian, spanish, russian, chinese, social sciences, or drama (theater ?) -it's rather rare, my lycee is a bit special- I have 9 hours theater (history of theater, acting techniques, performance, improvising...) by week, and we go to plays.
