Default letter to host family

I’m the eldest in a family of three children: Eglantine, 10 years old and Timothee (a boy!), 11 years old. Given the age gap, we rarely argue. I have more or less the same musical tastes as my brother, and we share our experience of college...My sister confides to me her problems, her little daily anecdotes...I listen to her, advise her at times. I share with my father his passion for the theater. He’s a comedian (an actor?), and I (integrated a theater form?) in my school, so it’s one of our favorite themes of discussion.
Relations with my mother are more complicated, but I don’t think there’s any wonder in that: it seems that it’s adolescence! I don’t confide much in her, but I know she understands me, that’s the main thing. Together, we talk about my future, about life as it actually is and about how we wish it was. She’s a woman I greatly admire.
I’ve been lucky to meet incredible friends in my school. We have a very singular relationship, very strong. I feel quite well integrated in my peer group, we all share approximately the same thoughts, ideas; we are all fond of theater, we love traveling and meeting people, we are all ready to enjoy life…
All shocked by this world’s injustice and resolute not to become “passive grown-up”... (We invented nothing: that’s it, the famous “energy of youth”!) I have no clear “status”, “responsibilities” in my group; the one who advises, the one who manages or anything like this: we appreciate each other and we make plans, that’s all.

Is the father a comedian or an actor and what did you mean by theater form?

Sincerely,
Claude
