Relax the tone of a command by adding “吧”--ActiveChinese

There are many exclamations(语气词) in Chinese, like “啊”, “吧”, “呢”… Today, we will talk about the usage of “吧”.
You can relax the tone of a command by adding the word 吧 at the end of a statement. For example, 我们坐出租车 means we are going to take a taxi. But 我们坐出租车吧 means almost, let’s take a taxi, ok? Or how about we take a taxi. It gives the listener a choice and is more polite.
