That may be because your system may not have unicode font that supports Devanagari script. But you must be able to see what Vikram attached, because he converted the Devanagari representation into an image.
There is one software available, which you can look into. It converts names into Devanagari. There are two buttons to copy the result into clipboard. One button copies as text and the other copies as image. The copy as image option allows you to see the Devanagari text even if you do not have unicode font for Devanagari.
Hindi and Sanskrit use a script called as Devanagari. Many people are interested in seeing how their names and names of their near and dear ones look in this script. They are mostly interested in this for getting tattoos and some are interested for some other reasons.
